Save earth. It’s an interesting and powerful line. Something that everyone has been saying these days, most of them giving very little thought to it.

Pollution has escalated drastically since the past decade, so has the population. There is harsh weather and climate change around the globe. Only last year we had ten natural disasters, including the cyclones on the Indian coast and the volcanic activity in the Philippines.

I’m sure most of us have realized by now, that the ones we should be worried about is not our planet, but ourselves.

Didn’t get it?

Let’s see it this way, I’m sure all of you know about the extinction of the species that walked the earth before us, dinosaurs.

Dinosaurs lived on earth for between 165 to 177 million years. They first appeared during the Triassic period. (between 243 to 231 years ago). It is believed that they cease to exist today because an asteroid hit the planet, which harshly affected the climatic conditions, ultimately causing the extinction of the entire species.

What happened to earth after that?

It evolved.

It bloomed new flowers, over time new life forms appeared. We came to existence.

This will happen again. It has happened several other times, scientists have found shreds of evidence to prove that there was life before the dinosaurs.

This is what our magnificent planet is. Evergreen.

Why am I trying to tell you this?

To change your view on things.

It’s not “Save the earth” it’s “Let’s heal the earth”. Our mother is hurt, that doesn’t mean anything is going to happen to her. It’s our doom that we are bringing closer.

After our extinction, the earth will evolve again, heal its self, give birth to a new race. Help that species flourish.

We are just a part of this remarkable universe, and since we are just a part, we shouldn’t cross our boundaries.

Recognizing our mistakes is just the beginning, it’s the first step. Correcting it is the next, which will only be effective if we work together.

We have chosen to take the next step and help heal our planet.

What do you choose?
